Interested in learning more about the Junior PCSO Scheme and how your school can get involved?

What is the Junior PCSO Scheme?
Run by West Midlands Police the Junior PCSO Scheme works in partnership with schools to identify and tackle issues in and around schools and their communities.

How does the Junior PCSO scheme work:
With consent from the children’s parents, the participating children alongside two staff members from your school, will have hands on training about addressing the issues that can affect your school on a daily basis including parking, littering and speeding.

What are the objectives of the Junior PCSO scheme:
To empower schools to take charge of specific local problems, as listed above.
To help reduce and combat bullying in school.
To reduce the dangers to children, parents and drivers in the areas outside the school
To reduce litter.
To increase confidence of the children.

What are the Junior PCSO Scheme Criteria:
10 children per group
Children must be in year 5
Junior PCSO must stay in their role for 6 months
The pupil must apply for the role of Junior PCSO

What do I get as part of my Junior PCSO Kit:
Each school will receive junior PCSO hi-vis vests with Junior PCSO printed on them, Junior PCSO embroidered caps, clipboards and ID card holders if required. An education pack will also be supplied.

Getting involved with this fantastic scheme is easy, simply contact your local Community Police Officer or email the Arcs N Sparks team on sales@arcsnsparks.co.uk and we will do the rest for you.
